The Sato Laboratory conducts research on the measurement, analysis, and prediction of air pollutants and greenhouse gases, as well as research on the analysis and prediction of driver behavior, with the aim of reducing the environmental impact of automobiles in transportation systems.

Associate Professor Susumu Sato and his team received the Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan(JSAE) Award for Best Paper.

Associate Professor Nagasawa has moved from our laboratory and established a new laboratory in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Tokyo Institute of Technology.

Mr. Tagaya, a second-year master's student, received the Best Paper Presentation Award of the Hakuseikai System Control Course.

Mr. Ishida, a second-year master's student, received the Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan's Graduate School Research Encouragement Award.

We held a graduation party for students and promotion of Prof. Nagasawa.

Prof. Kyeounghak Kim's group from Hanyang University (Korea) visited our laboratory and held a joint research seminar.

At the joint presentation by Meiji University, Chiba University, and Tokyo Institute of Technology, Mr. Ichikawa, a first-year master's student, received the first prize for best presentation, Mr. Imamura, a first-year master's student, received the second prize for best presentation, and Mr. Tagaya, a second-year master's student, received the prize for best question.

We participated in the intramural regatta hosted by the Tokyo Institute of Technology's Boat Club!

Assistant Professor Nagasawa received the Best Presentation Award at the Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan, 2022 Fall Meeting.　Title: Visualization of Oxygen Absorption on Palladium/Ceria-Zirconia Ternary Catalysts by Isotope Quenching Method -Effect of Reaction Temperature

Mr. Imamura, a bachelor's degree program, won the Hakuseikai System Control System Best Paper Presentation Award at the presentation of the Bachelor's Specific Challenge Project in the fourth year of the Reiwa era.

Master's degree student, Eang Panha, won the Graduate School Research Promotion Award from the JSAE.

Achievements related to visualization of oxygen storage behavior of exhaust gas purifying three-way catalyst are introduced in Titech`s Website. And、the same achievement are also introduced in Nihon Keizai Shimbun(Japanese)（2022/11/22）andNikkan Kogyo Shimbun(Japanese)（2022/11/16）.
